CMS celebrates two wins at the LaingBuisson Awards

17/11/2023

International law firm CMS was named Private Legal Advisor of the Year and Public Legal Advisor of the Year at the 2023 LaingBuisson Awards Ceremony, which was held on the 16th of November in London. Now in their 18th year, the LaingBuisson Awards recognise the businesses that set new standards of excellence in the independent health and social care industry.

CMS was recognised in both categories for its excellence in the provision of specialised legal services to health and social care investors, funders and operators in the private and public sectors, together with its approach to innovation, diversity and inclusion. The judges commented that the firm’s innovative, thoughtful, efficient and teamwork-focused approach to client services set it apart from its competitors.

With over 300 global Life Sciences, Health and Social care specialists, CMS is the only firm who can offer support across the whole life cycle from transactional real estate, planning, construction and corporate advice, regulatory and compliance, competition and procurement, litigation, IP, data protection, tax, pensions, restructuring and employment.

CMS Partner and Co-Chair of the Life Sciences & Healthcare Sector Candice Blackwood commented: “We are thrilled to have won both these awards, which recognise our depth of expertise and our legal advice to the complete sector. Our team has been privileged to work for outstanding health and care clients over the last few years and we would like to thank them all for the opportunities we have been given.”

This is the second recognition for CMS this year, after the team won Real Estate Deal of the Year at the 2023 Legal Business Awards Ceremony for its work on the building of a new world leading eyecare, education and research centre at Euston London for Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.
